Extrusion Operator

JobDescription:

JOB SUMMARY:

Manufacturing high-quality food packaging company is seeking for Extrusion Operators for location in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this position primary task will be to operate machinery for production.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

-Fork Lift Certification (verifiable-current), Read and Write English
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Basic Math Skills, basic computer skills
-Continuous mental/ visual attention required
-Able to Lift 20-50 lbs.
-Ability to Stand, walk, sit, reach outward, above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat, kneel , bend

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Will operate machinery used in manufacturing high-quality food packaging products.
-Operate Fork Lift.
-Identify Materials. i.e. Regrinds, Virgins and Additives
-Clean and Change the Filters on Auxiliary Equipment. i.e. Blenders,
-Dryers, Vacuum Pump and Stabilizers
-Start machines by engaging controls
-Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
-Feed and monitor the speed of machines during the production process
-Perform unskilled production work such as feeding machines and packing a wide variety of products
-Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
-Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMPs
-Supports the Plants Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing /complying with the required practices.
-Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
-Knows Emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failure, workplace injuries, etc.
-Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
-Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
-Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately.
-Actively participates in the safety improvement process/activities e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.
-While performing the duties of this position employee may be exposed to extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, product with sharp edges. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay rate: $17.00-$21.00 DOE

A shift -3:345am-4:15 pm
D shift - 3:45pm-4:15 am
