Lift Truck Operator– Shipping

JobDescription:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Generally to perform goods receipts and add items to shipments for all product coming to shipping, and load on the correct trailer. Create the transport order, delivery note, print the BOL and post goods issue the delivery. Make minor corrections on the stretch wrapper and AGV system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent degree.
-Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English, preferred.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- At least 2-3 years of experience operating a lift truck with Sit down/ Clamp in a warehouse and manufacturing environment;
-Certified to operate a Forklift truck.
- Operate computer and SAPRIF.
- Perform goods receipts and add items to trailers transactions in SAP or RF for all products coming from stretch wrapper.
- Load all products onto correct trailer for shipment, including scanning the product to the correct trailer.
- Inspect all incoming trailers for holes, infestations, garbage and other problems.
- Complete transport orders, delivery note, print BOL, and post goods issue the delivery for shipments.
- Correct any issues with the transport orders.
- Load other items as directed off the receiving dock.
- Assist in maintaining the AGV, stretch wrapper and extractor. Daily inspection of forklifts, AGV and trains, to include cleaning and filling batteries with water.
- Unload items, such as pallets, resin and returned goods and stage in correct areas.
- Load and manifest items (where required) like pallets, resin, flake, scrap, and roll stock.
- Move finished goods to the Shipping Dock when it is taken off the conveyor in the production areas.
- Manifest and load sheet as needed.
- Unload incoming material on the receiving dock during off-hours when needed.
- Assist on the Shipping and Receiving work with the bailer. Work with the Bailer when necessary.
- Housekeeping of all shipping areas, including dock wells, wrappers and extractors. Use the sweeper to clean the dock and AGV path.
- Inform Lead of any areas needing repairs or any other issues, assist other shipping PTD’s in accomplishing these tasks.
- Follow all work instructions and QP’s that pertain to the shipping dock.
- Comply with all Plant rules, safety rules, GMP and PPE guidelines and Department work instructions.
- Work as directed by Department Supervisor and as assigned by shift Lead.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
