Dispatch Customer Service Agent

JobDescription:

SUMMARY:
International express deliveries; global freight CO. is seeking for Dispatch Customer Service Agent for location in Brisbane, CA. Duties include coordinate outbound AIR shipments as related activities to their final destination.

REQUIREMENTS OF DISPATCH CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT:
• MUST HAVE IMPORT/EXPORT EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma
• Comprehensive knowledge in technical or specialty area and/or tasks and responsibilities.
• Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing tasks
• Must be able to teach skills to others

RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS OF DISPATCH CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT:
• Process delivery orders, review documents and make sure everything match with the custom form CBP7512, invoices, values, pieces and weight, etc.
• The cut-off time to dispatch all the delivery orders to all other forwarders is 12:00pm on a daily basis.
• Enter all documents into our imaging system.
• Fax or email all the documents and add all the shipment information on the daily report
• Handle issues related to the dispatching, missing cargo, missing information in the system 1F.
• Communicate with internal/external customers by emails and phone. Heavy data processing involved.
• Provides operational support to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery of customer shipments.
• Ensures compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
• Evaluates our vendors to verify expected level of service.
• Provides customer service, sales and operational support for the Dispatch Department.
• Answers phone and resolves billing problems.
• Researches shipment tracking requests and provides feedback; attempts to resolve misplaced shipments.
• Communicates with Sales/Service to resolve customer problems.
• Assists with operational procedures including shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, sending shipment status information, and POD follow including verification of freight on board.
• Dispatches pick-up and delivery information in a timely and efficient manner.
• Minimal supervision provided.

SCHEDULE & PAY RATE:
• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
• $15.00 / hr
